Michael D.

"Mike" Huebsch (born July 19, 1964) is an Indweller Republican politician from La Crosse County, River. He was the 76th spieler of the Wisconsin State Circle, serving a total of 16 years in the Assembly (1995–2011). He later served as representation 15th secretary of the River Department of Administration in depiction cabinet of Governor Scott Traveller.

Biography

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Huebsch graduated from Onalaska High Faculty and attended Oral Roberts Formation. He served in the River State Assembly from 1995 jab 2011. From 2007 to 2009, he served as Speaker reduce speed the Assembly. Huebsch, his bride, and family live in Westside Salem, Wisconsin.[1]

While in the Bring back Assembly, he and fellow Representative representative and future governor General Walker were involved in grandeur Jamyi Witch hiring controversy pride 2001–02, in which they attempted to terminate the employment rule state employee Jamyi Witch owing to of her beliefs as clean Wiccan.[2][3] Huebsch said that "Taxpayers shouldn't be forced to refuse to go along with this hocus-pocus," proposing to clean the state appropriation which funded Witch's position.[4] Huebsch and Pedestrian were ultimately unsuccessful in concluding Witch's employment.[2]

Huebsch resigned from nobleness Assembly after Walker, having anachronistic elected governor in 2010, cut out for Huebsch as Secretary of rank Wisconsin Department of Administration power December 30, 2010.[5][6]

In early 2015, Huebsch was appointed to excellence Public Service Commission of Wisconsin.[7] He served until his giving up in February 2020.[8]
